October 8th 0930-1230: Shore Clean Up
Come on out to support the Ocean Conservancy’s International Coastal Cleanup with the National Aquarium at Masonville Cove on Saturday morning. We will meet at the Environmental Education Center by 930am. Make sure you wear close – toed shoes you don’t mind getting dirty and bring a reusable water bottle, so you stay hydrated! We will be provided gloves and other necessary equipment to perform the clean up! Please sign up with this link, indicate you are with a group, and select “Baltimore Carolina Club”. Kids 10 and over may join as long as they are with an adult.
October 8th 10a-1p: Lego Building with Volunteering Untapped
For October’s #SecondSaturday we’re partnering with the FIRST Lego League — an organization that works to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders and innovators, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering, and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.
For this event, we’re meeting at Checkerspot Brewing Company. Located at 1399 S Sharp St, Baltimore MD 21230
Parking will be available at Checkerspot in the large parking lot under the freeway, across from the brewery.
For the afterparty we’ll be staying on site to enjoy some food, drinks, and great company after a morning of hard work. The brewery will not be serving food/beer until their official opening (12 pm) but our event will still start at 10 am as normal. Can’t wait to see you there! Sign up for this project with this link!
